Corporate Events – Ideas for a company social in Mainz near Frankfurt

Your team has been working hard and has come together to celebrate its achievements? You plan for a kickoff session to roll-out the next project? You had a round of intense workshops and it is time for the colleagues to have a fun time? You are integrating new members to your team? You have guests to entertain? The historic city of Mainz, located in the center of Germany, just off Frankfurt, lends itself perfectly to get colleagues out of their offices, to invite customers for a joint evening, or to show your appreciation for your teams efforts.

At BottleStops we are proud to offer three options to host an event that shows your appreciation and allows everyone to mingle casually:

Idea #1 – Treat your team to a Wine Tasting in one of Mainz’ most spectacular secret cellars

Wine tasting is a fun and entertaining corporate event

Enjoy a guided wine tasting introducing wines that proudly stand for the nearby region. Get to know great wines, enjoy the stories that come with them and impress your guests with the spectacular setting of an over 150 years old, brilliantly modernised cellar – reserved exclusively for you and your team. The wines are selected by your host from leading wineries in Rheinhessen, the region nearby. Of course, non-alcoholic options are available, too.

The wines will be presented in a casual way with background information and captivating trivia, so that both wine lovers and wine-newcomers are entertained alike. Local snacks won’t be missing either.

The venue never fails to impress: a stunning cellar, 90 feet (four layers!) deep down in the center hillside of Mainz. The structure dates back to the 1870s, featuring historic patina and yet perfectly fit for contemporary use. A unique venue to contribute to lasting memories!

Count about 80-90 minutes for a well-curated wine tasting, and budget about Euro 60 to 80 per person to cover for the wines, location, presentation, snacks and alcohol free drinks.

Idea #2 for a Corporate activity in Mainz: A Wine Tasting and Guided City Walk

Insights into history, geography and entertaining trivia must be part of a fun corporate wine event!

This idea for a corporate even adds on to our first suggestion – by adding a bit of extra action! The wine tasting will be supplemented by a guided city walk highlighting buildings and sites of Mainz’ past and current wine culture.

On this guided walk we will highlight the sights and elements of the city’s vinous history and wine culture. The walk ends at a historic restaurant in the center of Mainz’ old town for your team to end the night with a tasty German meal and in a cosy setting.

The walk of Mainz adds about 50-60 minutes to the wine tasting mentioned above – the event duration will be about two to two-and-a-half hours. Consider 85 to 90 Euro per participant. Contact us for more information and a quick quote.

Idea 3 for a company event in Mainz: A Wine Day Tour from Mainz

Stunning winter views during a corporate Christmas outing

Treat your group to a more extensive activity! Why not take your colleagues out on a guided tour of the wine region nearby? A tour of the wine country combines sights, tastings, and winery- and cellar visits. We ensure that your team is travelling in a comfortable bus, so that driving is not posing any obstacles to wine tasting. A blend of visits and tastings in modern and historic tasting rooms as well as wine cellars nearby Mainz will create memories to last. Also, with this event your guests will walk away not only with new insights into wine culture in Germany, but also with inspirations on which wine to take back home.

A winter wine day tour takes between four and seven hours, depending on the setup, your company’s requirements, and your colleagues/teams group size. Pick-up and drop-off can be arranged for Mainz, Wiesbaden, or Frankfurt city. Prices range from 160 to 190 Euro per person.
